The Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk will be 2 x 5 KM laps ofKensington Gardens. Everyone is invited to participate and walk as far as they can. We hope most if not all walkers will be able to complete the route, however, this is not essential as the aim is to simply raise awareness of mouth cancer on the day. Costumes are invited if you're feeling brave!

EASY START WALKING PROGRAMME
This programme is for the complete beginner. After completing this five week programme you should be ready to move onto the more advanced Challenging Walking Programme.
CHALLENGING WALKING PROGRAMME
This programme has been designed for those of you that are already fit. It is based on distance and is aimed at building your endurance levels. By the end of this 10 week programme you will be walking up to 10 kms at least three times a week, which will put you in good stead to comfortably be able to complete the event without any problems.
STRETCHING
The aim of stretching is to gently lengthen muscles before and after exercise, and to improve tissue flexibility. If done correctly, stretching will help prevent injuries and increase athletic performance. This section includes tips for stretching and a stretching programme for you to follow.
All participants will receive a medal for their achievement. See our Prizes page for details.
