Mouth Cancer Awareness Week will be taking place between 14th and 20th November 2010. To mark the countdown to the Week the Mouth Cancer Foundation is organising its annual sponsored 10K Walk on Saturday 18th September 2010 in Hyde Park, London, at 2pm. Participants should arrive at 1pm.
We are hoping to make this year’s walk the biggest yet. The Mouth Cancer Walks in previous years have been hugely successful. See photos!
We hope that this year’s event will prove to be even more popular and that the crowd will attract the attention of the media to help raise awareness of mouth cancer. So tell all your friends and colleagues to join you in this year’s walk. See our Venue page for further information.
Everyone is invited to join the FREE 10Km Mouth Cancer Walk. If you wish to participate in the Mouth Cancer Walk then please register online as soon as possible so that we can send you further information in time for the event. On the day, you will collect your participant bib, t-shirt and refreshments for the walk as well as a goodie bag with lots of freebies once you have completed the event.
We had some great fancy dress costumes on last year's walk so this year we are encouraging everyone who takes part to dress up and have fun. There will even be prizes for the best dressed individuals and teams and those who make the most effort to raise awareness for Mouth Cancer.
We hope participants will be able to gain sponsorship for their walk from family, friends and colleagues to raise funds for the Mouth Cancer Foundation, however, this is not essential as the aim is simply to raise awareness. See our fundraising page for further information.
